GDPR requires NouYou to clearly inform you how we, store and destroy your personal data. https://eugdpr.org/

Before or during your first visit as a NouYou attendee, we will collect personal data on your Client Registration Form.

We use your name, address and date of birth to identify you. Your paperwork will kept secure.

We use your phone number and/or email address to contact you about your events, sessions, appointments and treatments. Please be aware when you contact us via email or text, wecannot guarantee the security of information.

We also may enter your name and email address into an online mailing tool which allows us to send you NouYou news and information that we would like to keep you up to date with. You can opt out of this at any time. Mailchimp’s privacy statement can be found here

Free membership to our website membership area and its free resources is automatically gifted to you when you become a service user (client/ customer/ attendee etc) or affiliate (volunteer/ room hirer etc). This uses your name and email address and a password of your choosing. You can opt out of this at any time.

None of your details are used for marketing purposes. 

Medical, health and lifestyle information are all used to ensure your time with us is safe and appropriate and will not be shared unless we are concerned that you may present a danger to yourself or others.

Registration forms and treatment records are all kept in paper format in a locked cabinet.

After 7 years, forms & records will be shredded and electronic records deleted. If, during any visit you are under 18 or there is litigation involved with an injury, records may be kept indefinitely according to the guidelines of our professional body, Federation of Holistic Therapy.

GDPR PRIVACY POLICY

The General Data Protection Regulation Act 2018 (GDPR) came into force in 25th May 2018 setting new standards for expectations on businesses in relation to data and its use. NouYou confirms that all attendee information, medical history, personal details and treatment plans are stored manually which complies with the GDPR rules. 

We will ensure that your personal information will only be used for treatment purposes and will not be shared with any third party without your express permission. The only situation where your confidentiality may have to be broken would be under circumstances where you are deemed to pose a risk to yourself and/or others.  Your details will be stored for at least 6 years.

You will be asked to sign and date to confirm your consent to the above conditions in accordance with the GDPR rules.
